I love Mara’s classic, California style. Always so effortless. I was lucky enough to grab a few minutes with Mara and ask her a few questions…so we can get to know her a little better.

I just had to share with you my favorite shot from the current California Tailor lookbook. I just love this photo. The beautiful bouquet of flowers, the perfect Sunset Blue stripe Shirt no.1 and all that California sunshine. Such a beautiful day at the beach.
The New Year means new beginnings as California Tailor gets ready to launch our very first collection. We’re putting the final touches to Shirt No.1, hand checking each individual shirt making sure everything is perfect to ensure that the first collection leads the way in defining the perfect button down shirt.
Our highly limited first collection is going to be pretty special. It’s going to define the quality of the brand, so we are not taking any risks. Each shirt, inspired by sunny California and named after places which are special to us, will be sent out with a hand written note from me, California Tailor founder, Gill McLean.

The holiday season is in full swing and this Christmas I’m celebrating all things California. I’ve been busy decorating the tree, shopping for gifts and catching up on my favorite festive films. Well, the good news is they have come together again, just in time for Christmas.
